The 2010 Winter Olympics cannot catch a break. After shipping in tons of snow because, despite the fact that most of the U.S. has been inundated with the white stuff, Vancouver is bare ground.
And now Lindsey Vonn is injured badly enough that there is some doubt as to whether she will be able to complete. Although she did get in a practice downhill run and her husband says she will compete in all five of her events, she is in “the worst pain I have ever experienced.”
Let’s see if we can relate this to what we’re all going through economically. We all know the recession is not going to end anytime soon. We also know (even if we’re not admitting it out loud) that our sources of income (jobs, investments, etc.) are no longer stable and dependable. These “pains” are probably the worst we’re ever experienced too.
